Celebrities are bound to be embroiled in controversies. The famous American actress Jessica Marie Alba, who is well known for her roles in Dark Angel, Sin City, Fantastic Four and Into the Blue, is no exception.
The recent issue faced by her was when the March 2006 issue of Playboy magazine published Jessica, who is regularly listed by several entertainment magazines as one of the most beautiful or sexiest women alive, in a bikini on the cover.

Boiling the issue, Jessica Alba threatened to sue the magazine, claiming that Hugh Hefner & Co, the publisher of Playboy magazine, is trying to make it seem that she appears in a nude or semi-nude jesica alba celebrity in news pictorial.

Alba’s lawyer has demanded that Playboy magazine stops distributing their magazine and provide the actress with a monetary settlement for its unauthorized use of her image for commercial purposes. Alba’s main contention was that the magazine has duped readers into thinking she was nude inside.
Though Playboy magazine had named Alba among its 25 Sexiest Celebrities and also the Sex Star of the Year in the March issue, the litigation did not stop.
In fact, Playboy had initially offered to pay Jessica Alba to appear on the cover, but the offer was refused by the 25-year-old actress. Following this, Playboy magazine had made efforts to get approval from the Columbia Pictures to publish a promotional photograph of bikini-clad Jessica Alba, and the venerable men’s magazine published the sultry image from the 2005 film Into the Blue. Joining the celebrity, the Columbia Pictures also has demanded apology from the magazine for its outrageous and unethical behavior.
The hot news was alive till Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine, sent a personal apology and pledged to donate money to her favorite charities.
Personal life of Jessica Alba, whose big break came when the writer/director James Cameron picked Alba from a pool of 1,200 candidates for the role of the genetically-engineered super-soldier, Max Guevara, on the Fox sci-fi TV series Dark Angel, is too haunted by the media.
The recent news that hit the glitterati world was when Jessica Alba said she has curves, but she doesn’t really like them and wishes to be skinnier and taller. She was also chased by the paparazzi when she and Cash Warren started hunting for a house in the Sherman Oaks section of Los Angeles. Cash was the director’s assistant on Fantastic Four, and they had been having a friendly affair while filming Fantastic Four. In fact, Jessica Alba was engaged to her Dark Angel co-star Michael Weatherly, but it was called off before she began dating Cash Warren.
Jessica Alba, who has no problem with one night stands, prefers a much older man as her ideal partner, making references to Morgan Freeman, Sean Connery, Robert Redford, and Michael Caine. “I have this thing for older men. They’ve been around and know so much,” she said.
